How Bot4Q Translator processes live chat messages.

What we process
On channels where a streamer has enabled Bot4Q Translator, we process:
- the text of public chat messages sent in that channel;
- the sender's public username and public platform user id;
- the translation produced, and basic operational data (timing, whether the post succeeded, counts used for billing).
We do not process private messages, email addresses of viewers, payment details of viewers, or anything that isn't already visible in public chat.
Who processes it
Translation is performed by a third-party AI provider, Google (Gemini API). Message text is sent to that provider for the sole purpose of producing a translation. We do not sell chat data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Viewer opt-out
Any viewer can stop their own messages being translated at any time, in chat, with no account required:

Once a viewer has opted out, their messages are never sent to the translation provider. The opt-out is checked before any external call is made, not after.
How long we keep it
- Chat and translation records are automatically deleted after 30 days.
- Aggregate counts (how many translations a channel used in a month) are kept for billing and service operation. These contain no message text.
- When a channel or account is offboarded, its stored message content is purged.
Streamer controls
The streamer running the channel can turn translation off entirely
(!troff in chat, or the dashboard), maintain an ignore list, see
which viewers have opted out, and request deletion of their channel's data.
