Look up any word, in any language

Chat translation handles the conversation. !say handles the moment someone asks "wait, how do you say that?" — and it answers in a way people can actually pronounce.

How it works

!say umbrella in chinese umbrella in Chinese = yusan · 雨伞

Romanisation first, then the proper script. That order matters: a viewer who cannot read the script still gets something they can say out loud, and a viewer who can read it gets the correct written form.

Any language, not just your targets

Unlike the chat translation itself, !say is not limited to the languages you have switched on. Somebody can ask for Chinese, Hindi or Greek in an otherwise Thai-and-English room and get a straight answer.

Why viewers end up teaching each other

In practice this is the command that turns a split-language chat into one room. Regulars start looking up words for newcomers, and the exchange happens in chat where everyone watching learns the word too.
